How to Obtain a Commercial Pilot Certificate
Earning a Commercial Pilot Certificate requires dedication, advanced training, and a commitment to mastering professional-level flying skills.
- Eligibility Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Hold a valid FAA Medical Certificate.
- Have a Private Pilot Certificate.
- Flight Training
- Log at least 250 total flight hours, including:
- 100 hours as PIC (pilot-in-command).
- 50 hours of cross country flying.
- 10 hours instrument training.
- 10 hours complex or technologically advanced aircraft training.
- Practice maneuvers such as steep turns, chandelles, lazy eights, and emergency procedures to demonstrate precision and control.
- Ground School

- FAA Written Exam
